If you want to publish/deploy your eLearning contents, then you have to keep in mind some of the LMS options. Without knowing functions of LMS, it is not possible to publish a LMS friendly contents. How to publish storyline content and then deploy on learning management systems. You just need to follow few steps and things will be good at the end.
Following are the steps which you need to follow
- Once you complete all the design and development, you need to check the media player properties. Means remove unwanted features from the media player or add some extra functionalities to the courses.
- After completion of the storyline, on the home tab, click on the preview then click on publish under the preview, or click directly on the publish if visible.
- Once you click on publish, you will find a pop window, on the popup window click on LMS tab.
- After clicking on the LMS you then need to focus on the title, LMS option, and reporting and tracking. These are few important steps which need to be followed.
- The LMS reporting and tracking window plays a very important rule on the learning management end. If this is not handled properly then you will not get accurate tracking of end users. On this window use the selector to choose the result regarding to the course type or duration.
- The next step is that of choosing HTML5 or Mobile publishing, this is optional but it may an important factor according to some situations. So handle this point carefully.
- Another option on the SCORM popup window is that iOS publishing. If you want to allow courses on iOS devices, then this option need to be checked.
- After completing the form then click on the publish button. The Storyline will create an SCORM package which is supported by all the LMSs including the open sources like MOODLE etc.
- Before publishing and uploading your course to MOODLE or any other learning management system, make a zip folder of it.
