Problem Based
In problem based learning teachers provide real world problems or theoretical problems instead of traditional lecture to the students. This learning methodology is highly student centered. Students are supposed to solve the given complex and interesting type of problem. Teacher just give a touch or hint and the rest of problem is left for student to find an optimized solution for the problem. In this type of learning method students are motivated to research and find a solution and then implement.
Collaborative
Collaborative learning is an old concept, it promotes learning for decades and it is actually the subject of various researches. According to research students learn quickly and well when they involve in the process. If students learn in groups, then there are maximum chances to solve problem more effectively as compare to studying individually. Collaborative study helps learners and develops social skills, team work and the ability of leadership.
Cooperative
Cooperative learning is basically type of collaborative learning which is provided in more established and organized way. Cooperation is the main goal/target of this kind of learning. It is clear from its name that, students work in groups. In this learning, students are divided into small chunks and give them a certain task or group objectives. Groups must be small enough to ensure full participation of all group members. Furthermore, objectives must be clear and targeted.
Discovery Based
Discovery based learning is the concept of “Learn things by doing”. The core concept of this method is that, the best way to learn is to it. The more you do and perform things, the more well you be able to gain the core idea. It is basically student centered learning in which learner is supposed to discover ideas and then work on it. There may be some experiments involved in this learning method. It is the best method in learning technical subjects such as engineering and information technology.
