United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) wanted to create engaging “New Employee Orientation” for their onboarding. They were seeking eLearning developers with the newest eLearning design skills to develop gamified, interactive self-paced online courses to be used around the globe. UNSSC was looking for a vendor who can provide such courses using eLearning latest tools.

360eLearning proved to be the right fit for United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) needs. We developed “Welcome to the UN: New Staff Orientation” for UNSSC. The orientation was made using one of the latest industry tools i.e., Articulate Storyline. It was based on Gamification model to engage the learners. A total of 4 modules were created. An engaging and easy-to-use, user friendly interface was developed with explanatory instructions for the users to understand. We developed an interactive eLearning experience that challenged the new employees to understand the United Nations. The eLearning solution was built with modern, on-brand design that was supported with an engaging and relevant narrative. Training comprised of 4 “Missions” from which users could select which one to start first? All the missions were gamified using the latest industry tools and techniques. Each mission consisted of Q&A sessions in between and in the end. The users were rated on the basis of their answers. On successful completion of quiz(s), user would earn badge(s). The reward system was embedded to motivate the users and increase the competitiveness. The missions were developed keeping in mind the desired outcomes of the training.
Once this new onboarding experience was launched to onboard new UNSSC employees, the organization saw a drastic increase in user participation and engagement. All the desired outcomes where achieved using eLearning experience created by 360eLearning. The latest results showed that employees trained using eLearning instead of traditional learning were better equipped with the history, functionality, structure and purpose of UN. The employees were even more competitive due to the challenging Q&As induced in the eLearning experience.
